Cronenberg's "Antiviral"

And as they say, the fruit doesn't fall too far from the tree.

A futuristic film, it is set in a clinic where they harvest live viruses from sick celebrities. They then sell the viruses to rabid fans. Starring Caleb Landry Jones, Sarah Gadon, Douglas Smith and the ever reliable, Malcolm McDowell, the film sticks it to our culture's sad obsession with celebrity all the while injecting some icky chills and gruesome bloody horror.

From the people we know who have seen it, if you have an aversion for needles piercing skin, perhaps you should skip this one.

The film was picked up by IFC Midnight which means its distribution will mostly likely be a day and date theatrical release witha VOD release.
