Clearly, this is the best design!
The tops
There are a few that I liked but this one stands out. The robot, the torn ticket, classic saucers and robot. Yea, this one is the keeper for sure.
It'a a winner
Brilliant! Definitely my top choice.
Simply the Best
This is by far the best design. It reminds me of how awesome science fiction is. Also, robots! Spaceships! PLEASE MAKE THIS ONE THE WINNER!
I <3 miles
I wish I lived in Boston so that I could have this spectacular keepsake. I love the vintage feel, especially with the color scheme displayed.
Best
This design is clear, bold, and awesome. This is the sort of ticket I would be proud to display on my wall well after the event.

And, of course, thanks so much for the kind words!
Superb
This poster is by far the best of the selection. M. Donovan should totally win. Make this happen!
Great
This one has that crisp, professional look without being cold or pretentious. My favorite by far.
Excellent design
This is definitely the best of all the designs submitted. It's dynamic and eye-catching, but uncluttered and easy to read. I really like the two-tone color scheme as well. I hope it wins!
Pretty Pitchers
All of these are really good - I think my favorite is this ticket design, by M. Donovan.
ticket design
this is really the only one of the designs that I like; bonus points for spelling out "festival" and keeping all the text readable relative to the overall image size

hmmmmm
is it just me or does anyone else suspect ballot stuffing? it's a fine design and my second choice but i'd hate to see the very fine obuchowski #2 lose due to a subterfuge.
I doubt ballot stuffing...
... and I'm 1/2 of the Obuchowskis! (my wife and I worked together on those).
Congrats to M. Donovan for putting together a fun and terrific (not to mention wonderfully scalable) design.
No ballot stuffing on my part.
I don't know any of the designers. I just feel that this design best represents the spirit of the event.
no, i absolutely like
no, i absolutely like obuchowski #2 also. i just think i'd like this better on a poster all over boston. obuchowski #2 would be my second choice.
re: subterfuge
Ok. I mentioned that I'd been selected as a finalist on my blog (the post can be found here: http://www.thedailyrobot.com/2010/01/daily-robot-is-in-running.html, and linked to this contest (not to my design personally, but to all of them). A few of the comments here on the design come from supportive people I know personally, but at no point did I *ask* for such gracious comments, nor did I imply to anyone that commenting would have any bearing on the outcome of the contest - as I don't believe that it does or should. I don't mean to seem defensive, but it's kind of a bummer to hear that someone suspects you of "ballot stuffing."
